queXF 1.18.1 has been released today
A major new feature is the processing forms as greyscale/grayscale for better management of dithering. This means queXF will process forms scanned as greyscale/grayscale (256 shades) just as well (in some cases better) than forms scanned as monochrome (1 bit). You may need to alter the IMAGE_THRESHOLD configuration item to determine the monochrome conversion cutoff.
Bug fixes relating to banding (default output width of a text field, and box detection) and verification (UTF-8 encoding) have been resolved.
Read on for details of how to upgrade (no database change required).
